Economics, politics, education, relationships, religion, race, observations, and internal struggles fuel my work. In addition to figures, I have found that the layering of colors, textures, and text are the most appropriate solutions to effectively express my feelings regarding the barrage of absurdities and contradictions within and around me. The creative process is a way for me to process these stressors to avoid being consumed by feelings of powerlessness. I believe the average person feels the way I do. With that, my aim is to generate healthy conversation about issues that prevent us from being decent human beings towards each other.

Artists that have an influence on my work are Michelangelo, Egon Schiele, Emory Douglas, Robert Rauschenburg, Gustav Klimt, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Jasper Johns. Contemporary influences include painters Denis Sarazhin, Charley Palmer, Kalin Devone, Bart Cooper, Tim Okamura, Dwight White, Anna Boceck, and Noemi Safir Dolev. The works of street artists Banksy and Poster Boy are very inspirational. A variety of comic book and graffiti styles are also influences in my work.
