Scope depicts hope. Scope is about choosing to seek out positive possibilities in the midst of adversity. Scope was created as a representation of how marginalized communities have historically taken the high road, calling for love, peace, understanding, and still hope to persevere in spite of enduring generational traumas. The hands are a heart shaped viewfinder seeking positivity though surrounded by negativity. What is seen through the viewfinder is a clear blue sky that signifies peace and endless possibilities. For me the sky has always given me great calm. Looking at the sky felt like an escape from any problems that I had. To me it still reminds me that there is always a chance that things could be better. It allows me to push past disappointments and focus on the greatness still to come. Always look up, not down.
